Join us on December 12, from 12:30–2 p.m. ET, to hear from Samantha Emerine, Director of Literacy Initiatives with FAMILY, Inc. in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Barb Lito, GrowSmart Coordinator with the City of Virginia Beach, Virginia. They will guide us in a conversation comparing the types of messaging important to CGLR coalition work, focusing on ways to highlight the early childhood resources and programs that contribute to family engagement, language development and school readiness in their communities. This session will use examples of the exemplary messaging tools the two community leaders submitted to the Communications Expo and explore how these tools were employed as strategies within their community-wide initiatives. We will also review the challenges that can emerge with messaging in a coalition and how to navigate communication when there are multiple partners and sectors involved.
